Details about this workshop
Working with year 6 & 7’s on a cross curricular project learning about pirates, Plymouth, map reading, map making, and…. all about how to be a perfect pirate yourself.
This was such a fun day with year 6 children, mentored by the year sevens from Tor Bridge High community School. Working with books from the library and maps the children filled in their Perfect Pirate Books and did a treasure hunt using a map of Plymouth. The winner was the one who was able to decode the clue and end up closest to a hidden spot on the back of the map. They also had a fact sheet about Plymouth and Pirates and where able to create their own treasure map on the inside of their preprinted simple foldable template book.
