Something which always make going the extra mile worthwhile is good feedback. Knowing that a schools workshop project has been a success.
Had a phone call today from St Josephs School where I (Drawing Together) did the Art and English workshop with years 6-10 on The Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti. The format of the Art & English Workshop worked really well and from the results I can see that the pupils who took part really bought into the concept. This has been well and truly supported by the positive feedback today. Not only where the staff enthusiastic , complimentary and supportive so where the pupils whose feedback really makes my whole job so worthwhile. Not only did the pupils want to finalise their artwork for Goblin Market but also some of the students took the time to make sure that I was told how much they enjoyed working with me but also how much they had gained from the day. With comments like “Brilliant” and The workshop really made me look at Goblin market in a different way; it was a really good workshop” make the whole thing just brilliant for me too!
